Multiplier event of EBG took place on 8 October 2019 in Magdeburg Germany. The event was part of the Erasmus+ Project Jobs4Tech(https://www.jobs4techproject.eu/), which has been implemented together with European partners.
For the first part we invited key note speakers with emphasis for different applications and usages of Virtual & Augmented Reality (VR and AR)in vocational education, in manufacturing and higher education.From machine layout to safety training, manufacturing is one of the main drivers of widespread VR adoption. The key note speakers underlined that whether in automotive, aviation or mechanical engineering – the VR and AR technologies open up completely new possibilities for industrial companies. The second part was dedicated to presentation of Jobs4Tech, its products and practical demonstration of VR. The demo created a vivid discussion in the networking space with participantsand promoted exchange of mutual experiences and how to use project products and get possible support by EBG.
The event highlighted the importance of technical and soft skills in education and training and the role of teachers and educators. The overall conclusion was : The project outcomes are the right steps in the right direction; the education systems need new technologies and accompanying skillsin order to stay relevant in the ever-changing world. The projectmakes an important contribution towards necessary changes in skills-needs in VET.
